Yoga in Arizona Advocacy Update

September 10, 2015

Members of the Arizona yoga community recently informed us that they need help. As soon as we found out that the State Board of Private Postsecondary Education (SBPPE) was placing regulations on yoga teacher training programs (YTTs), we quickly assembled a legal team in Arizona. This team is working on your behalf with legislators and regulators to ensure that Arizona's YTTs thrive without needless government intrusion.

Due to the SBPPE's unnecessary regulations – intended for "occupational" or "career" training schools – Arizona yoga schools now face expensive fees and burdensome regulatory hurdles. However, we can work together to protect the Arizona yoga community just as we did in Colorado and Arkansas.

As we gear up this fall for January's legislative session, we will continue to advocate our position in order to protect the Arizona yoga community. There are ways you can help. Be sure to sign our petition, which will let Arizona's decision makers know that you support Arizona's vibrant yoga community.
