Amy began her yoga journey at sixteen when she enrolled on a yoga course with her Mother. This seed grew to fruition whilst living in Thailand and she began to practice Hatha yoga daily. As her practice grew she found an inner peace and self confidence that she felt compelled to share.
Working as a primary school teacher is where she first began to share her yogic teachings. In her work with children she tries to instill a love of learning through her fun and dynamic yoga classes which are a combination of storytelling, asana, pranayama and a mindfulness.
She trained in India in the Himalayas in traditional Hatha Yoga, alignment based yoga(using props, alignment and adjustment), vinyasa flow yoga, ashtanga yoga, pranayama breathing, meditation and yogic cleansing techniques.
She has taught both locally and internationally for 7 years running yoga teacher training, retreats and yoga classes.
She loves to share the practice of Yoga with students, watching them progress, breath, move and feel better with time and dedicated practice.
Her teaching is inclusive, intuitive and combines her interests in the meditative qualities of movement and yoga's innate ability to calm and renew both the mind and body. She aims to have her students leave her classes feeling centred and at peace as well as equipping them with the confidence to empower their lives.
Amy is based in the Wild Welsh Preseli mountains, where she offers Yoga classes, workshops, retreats and Yoga Teacher Training.
She also returns to India regularly with her family who run retreats and Yoga Teacher Trainings in their center at www.mahiyoga.com
