I was former faculty at the Kripalu Center, from 1976 - 1995, as Yoga Program Director for several years. I have certified extensively with the American Viniyoga Institute. I continue my studies of the body and yoga with Robin Rothenberg, Tom Myers, Doug Keller, plus with local healthcare providers.
My new passion is educating and coaching about our brain's capacity to rewire for spiritual and practical growth. One of my main areas of interest is how to rewire the brain to support you in becoming a better inner supporter of yourself; to overcome the self-critical messages that may be running you ragged.
My specialization has been with seniors and elders. My undergraduate is in gerontology. I was an independent contractor, offering adaptive yoga in senior living communities for 20 years.
I am currently an independent contractor for breast cancer survivors through a local hospital. I am also learning about supporting trauma survivors with trauma sensitive yoga.
