Karen Cutrona Turner is an ERYT500, RYS200, RYS300 and YACEP who enjoys teaching and practicing a variety of yoga traditions from Hatha Yoga Basics, to Kripalu sequences, to more vigorous power vinyasa flows.
YACEP workshops are created from Karen's passion to cultivate intelligent, safe yoga instruction by RYTs. She offers thoughtful workshops to positively fuel the RYTs mind, spirit, and body.
Karen's continued challenge to her trainees and workshop participants is to avoid being a mindless yoga "Dum-Dum." Knowing how to sequence a beautiful flow of movements is a small part of becoming an amazing yoga teacher.
Karen's workshops provoke thoughtful understanding to know your unique purpose in yoga and in life. She encourages diligent personal practice to gain experience from your own body wisdom so that the biomechanics, applications and implications of the asanas and pranayama practices become authenticated. Karen wants her participants to focus on an attainable goal or intention for themselves and others at the start of each class - ensuring satisfying results for the time spent on your mat.
