Sara began her study of yoga and meditation in 1992 and started teaching yoga in 1997. Her extensive asana training includes alignment-based flow, vinyasa, prenatal and more. In 2007 she became a certified Anusara yoga teacher.
She teaches group classes, private session, workshops, anatomy and teacher trainings. She has lived residentially at two different meditation centers, and is presently studying and practicing meditation from the non-dual Tantric yoga lineage.
Sara teaches classes she named Full Radiance Yoga, which respects the sacred architecture of the human form including honoring the four curves of the spine. The practice addresses not simply weakness, instability, or imbalance at the superficial levels of the musculature, but helps the practitioner recover and embody their innate birthright of strength, flexibility, balance, and freedom by understanding how each of the individual parts affect the entirety of the body/mind/spirit matrix.
Essential to each Radiance Class is a framework of the yoga philosophy and perspective. Sara transmits an experience and understanding of the interdependence and interconnectedness between spirit and body by articulating the ways the body’s actions and movements correlate with the ancient teachings of yoga. To that aim, each class is supported by sacred yoga texts, yoga philosophy, Ayurvedic wisdom, or other teaching.
