Tara is an expert, highly engaging teacher. This course has given me an excellent return on my investment as I am now teaching regular weekly Restorative Yoga classes.

About Tara Lemerise

Tara Lemerise, E-RYT-200, is a yoga teacher based in the Washington, DC area. She leads retreats and trainings, and runs a thriving online yoga studio. 

Tara took her first yoga class in college while complete a degree in Philosophy and Comparative Religion. She was immediately hooked and knew right after that first class that yoga would become an essential part of her life.

After several years practicing Ashtanga Yoga, Tara took an Anusara class with Vivian Campagna in 2003. She went on to complete teacher training at Willow Street Yoga in Takoma Park, Maryland in 2005. She has studying Restorative Yoga with Jillian Pransky, Judith Hanson Lasater, and Cyndi Lee. Tara completed her RYT-300 with Cyndi Lee in 2021.

Tara's students love the way she offers clear, light-hearted, and encouraging instruction to students of all levels. She offers yoga philosophy in a practical and relatable way, has a deeply calming way of teaching Restorative Yoga, and brings a strong understanding of anatomy to all of her classes. From Restorative Yoga postures to arm balances and everything in between, Tara encourages her students tune in to their body’s messages and she helps them seek out the delight in each moment.
