Lura Shopteau M.A., LPC, E-RYT-500, YACEP, C-IAYT, MBSR Lura is a E-RYT-500 since 2003, the highest designation for a certified yoga teacher and a professional member of The International Alliance of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) since 2006. Lura is certified to train other teachers at all levels. Trained as a professional counselor (LPC), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, she is specially trained to apply psychotherapy, yogic, and meditation techniques to health issues. Lura worked with integrative professionals helping clients with an array of health problems. She taught the University of Minnesota, Center for Spirituality and Healing, The Mayo Clinic, Abbot Northwestern Hospital, yoga centers, and trained other yoga teachers while maintaining a private practice in holistic counseling.
Lura’s goal is to assist others in finding a way to live their lives with peace, courage and grace. She is happy to call Uvita home, being in tune with the natural world, surrounded by it’s beauty and the ever changing dynamic of nature.
