Kristen is also founder of YOGA FOR UNITY, an organization dedicated to uniting yogis beyond the walls of the studios to create positive conscious global change. She started this organization when fundraising over $20,000 for Off the Mat Into the World's Seva Challenge Uganda, where she also traveled to partake in humanitarian work with Seane Corn. Yoga for Unity is still the spearhead for the arrow of Kristen’s heartfelt purpose to empower individuals to share their strengths and unite them together as a community that cares about and takes action to create positive world change. Out of this purpose was born the event Yoga On The Mountain, gathering yogis together to practice and raise funds for charity. Kristen also offers Off the Mat Into the World's Yoga In Action training, to support your own discovery and connection to your life purpose.

Kristen (E-RYT 500) has over 12 years experience in practice and teaching. Kristen trained extensively with Shiva Rea, Seane Corn, Baron Baptiste, and Lara Heimann. Kristen’s classes focus on body awareness of anatomical alignment and functional movement based on knowledge from physical therapy. Her flows are creative and intelligently sequenced to support the natural stages of progression in flexibility and strength to build up to the most challenging postures. She helps you get more connected to yourself through yoga practice. Kristen believes the power of practice is in transforming oneself to live authentically and on purpose both on and off the mat.

Kristen is a Holistic Life Coach to help you go beyond the awareness you find on the mat and to support more direct life changes by helping your mind work for you rather than against you, and to help you get unstuck and move forward in life to find happiness and create the life you want to live.

Kristen is faculty at Pennsylvania State University and instructs courses in Yoga and Stress Management. On top of all that, Kristen is mother of  two lovely children.
