About Michelle Kennedy

Michelle Kennedy has been teaching yoga since 2003. She earned 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification in a traditional Ashram through Yoga Teacher Training Institute while she was pregnant with her first child, giving her a unique prenatal yoga perspective. After the birth of her daughter, she learned how to adapt poses for the post-natal and post-surgical mom through her own work and training with other experts in the field. Though pre- and post-natal are areas Michelle specializes in, she is skilled at instructing diverse individuals in group and private settings, from very young children to seniors, of all stages and physical abilities. Her pregnancy and training gave Michelle a unique perspective of yoga and takes a nurturing and inclusive approach to teaching in all of her classes.

Michelle is an E-RYT (Experienced/Expert Registered Yoga Teacher), Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (Specialist) and Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (Specialist) with the National Yoga Alliance. Some of Michelle's other advanced certifications include Yoga Mom, Buddha Baby; Yoga for Seniors; Restorative Yoga; Yoga for Scoliosis; Deaf Yoga; Laughter Yoga and CPR. She is also a Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher.

In addition to teaching her own 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, she has taught advanced workshops in Prenatal and Parent & Baby Yoga to fellow teachers at other teacher training programs.
