Samantha Parker is a Certified E-RYT 200 and a YACEP with a BS in Sports and Exercise Science and is currently pursuing her masters degree in Kinesiology. She has taught over 5,000 hours of yoga on three different continents working with thousands of patients. She has worked for the past four years as the Chief Movement Yoga Instructor at Landstuhl Germany Regional Center in the Interdisciplinary Pain Management Center creating, implementing and performing research for the first yoga program for a new Army MEDCOM initiative for chronic pain rehabilitation. She was responsible for chronic pain rehabilitation for local and evacuated US and NATO combat troops for 86 different countries throughout Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. She in addition is a founding member in creating and implementing the Special Operation Fortitude Center (SOF-C) which helps various US Special Operation Forces troops recover from mild traumatic brain injuries, chronic pain and PTSD. She has used her vast yoga experience and knowledge to complement strength and conditioning, cardiovascular function, and a wide variety of physical activities and athletics to achieve optimal fitness performance, athletic longevity and enhancing overall daily function.
In addition to working with the military she has collaborated with the Boston Ballet in creating an Injury Prevention platform using her yoga program to address muscular imbalances and weaknesses to help enhance optimal athletic performance and longevity.
She has advised providers and many other practicing physicians, given guidance to military commanders on newest and best implementation of yoga practices for their soldiers. She was involved in research that the SOF-C She now works as a Health and Fitness Specialist working with the Architect of the Capitol serving congress members.
She is a Certified Personal Trainer, Pilates Reformer and Mat Certified and many other fitness certifications.
