Marlies is the lead yoga teacher for the 200 hr Akasha Yoga Teacher Training. She teaches restorative, gentle, hatha and vinyasa yoga for private or group settings.
Marlies believes that by doing yoga, “you can grow old in a happy and healthy way". Yoga supports a healthy, holistic lifestyle. Yoga is not only good for your body, but also for your mind. You will find more inner peace with a regular yoga practice. People often say: “I am not flexible enough for yoga”, but that is not why you do yoga. Yoga is not about touching your toes, but about what you learn on your way to get there. If you take yoga classes on a regular basis, it supports all kinds of health benefits, inclusive a healthy weight.”
Marlies is an experienced registered yoga teacher (RYT 500, E-RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance. Marlies is Reiki 1&2 certified, studied mindfulness at UCLA, and happiness at UC Berkeley.
