Jeni Martinez is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS) and over 1000 hours of teaching since graduation.
Jeni is currently a 500 RYT, having completed her training with Twist Yoga in Edmonds, WA. in 2012. She was the founder and co-owner/operator of Three Trees Yoga in Federal Way, WA from 6/2005 to 2/2020. She was also co-director/instructor of Three Trees Yoga Teacher Training & 200 hr and 300 hr In-depth Studies Program from 2/2012 to 11/2020. She is a graduate of Pacific Yoga ( 200 hr.) Teacher Training Program 2005; She also graduated from Renee Taylor Yoga Teacher Training Program in 1989.
Jeni has taught yoga in a variety of settings including in corporations (TRW and Weyerhaeuser); parks and rec (Torrance Parks and Rec,; Bend Athletic Club; and the Centre at Norpoint); country clubs (Manhattan Beach Country Club and Multonomah Athletic Club) as well as at NatureBridge in the Olympic National Park. She has logged hundreds of hours teaching yoga on Zoom. She currently offers private yoga classes on Zoom. Since 2020, Jeni's primary focus has been leading international yoga retreats.
Since 2001, Jeni has organized and led 35 yoga retreats both in Washington State as well as in Mexico, Spain, France, and the Galapagos. In Jan. 2020, she launched an international retreat company called Jeni's Global Yoga Trips. In addition to the other countries listed, she is currently offering retreats in Greece, and Portugal.
Over the past three decades, Jeni has taught a variety of classes including Gentle Yoga, Beginner and Mixed Level Hatha Yoga, Partner's Yoga, Private Yoga, Yoga for Amputees, and Cello Yoga. With the help of Thai Yoga massage practitioner Sandi Koch, Jeni developed a specialty workshop called Restorative Thai Yoga that combines Restorative Yoga postures with soothing Thai Yoga adjustments to invite deep relaxation.
