Kia Ora! I am Bána - Creative Facilitator and Embodiment Teacher.
I support physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
With over 10 years experience working with the body through circus arts and yoga, I have developed a holistic and mindful approach to embodiment and physical fitness: offering a personalised body-positive approach to exercise and postural health for any level, as well as authentic creative development and intensive training for physical theatre artists.
With a lifelong interest in psychology, mindfulness, and the creative arts, I have spent the last three years completing a Masters and have worked with a diverse range of populations clinically, including: children with spectrum disorders, attachment trauma & special needs, as well as adults with sexual abuse trauma, queer identified people, and the elderly. I currently hold student registration with ANZACATA and should receive my provisional membership in December.
With experience in both physical and psychological wellbeing, I have a special interest in working holistically: Re-connecting body and psyche - with Dance Movement, kinetically focused visual art, and embodied Mindfulness.
