Sevasti-Anna fell in love with Yoga at the age of 9 when she read her first Yoga book and from the age of 11, Yoga Practice is part of her daily routine. Since then Yoga is her way of life and positive thinking. Having completed a successful 22 years professional career at the Public Power Corporation of Greece, Sevasti-Anna decided to fulfill her dream to teach Yoga. Sevasti-Anna completed her : 1. Teachers Training Course (TTC) at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers where she was given the Sanskrit name Kanti Devi. 2. Prenatal Yoga training (80 hours) in East Meets West Yoga Center, Virginia, USA. 3. 80 hours Accessible Yoga (Yoga for People with Disabilities) training, with Jivana Heyman in 2014 at the International Sivananda Yoga Ashram, Nassau. Since then she tries to bring Yoga to the lives of all people who cannot practice on the mat (People with MS, Cancer, Arthritis, Parkinson, Alzheimer, Hemiplegia, Obesity, Scoliosis, Orthopedic Surgeries, Prosthetic Limbs). She has more than 2500 teaching hours and she is an E-RYT-200 ( Experienced Yoga Teacher) and RPYT (Prenatal Yoga Teacher). During her stay in the USA, she was a Yoga Teacher in Retro Fitness/Kensington MD. She taught Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Prenatal Yoga. She was the first Yoga Teacher of the Retro Fitness in Washington DC and MD, who created Chair Yoga Classes for the Senior members of the Gym with great success. In Athens, she teaches personal Yoga sessions, provides lectures and workshops. As a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) she offers lessons and workshops in Yoga Techniques, Training Practice, Methodology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Yoga Philosophy, Life Style and Ethics. Focusing only on continuous training in order to understand and help her students, she graduated from the following training seminars: 1. Psychological First Aid, Bloomberg School of Public Health, John Hopkins University 2. De-Mystifying Mindfulness, Leiden University 3. Preventing Chronic Pain. A Human Systems Approach, University of Minnesota 4. Usui Reiki Ryoho During her studies and teaching, she realized that there was so much more to the practice of yoga both on and off the mat and she is continually seeking to evolve her practice and teaching in the areas of pranayama and meditation. She views yoga as a path to open the heart and come home to that part of ourselves that we so often lose touch with our busy lives. Sevasti-Anna enjoys teaching at all levels of practitioners; She believes that yoga is for anyone who is willing to step onto the path, no matter what experience or fitness level. She is an everyday loyal practitioner and as a student, deeply grateful to all her teachers and Swamis and is humbled by her life-long quest to seek and share the true gift of yoga. Following her Swamis' teachings of the Sivananda Yoga lineage for love and serving the society, she volunteered in Athens where she lives since 2016. She offered free Chair Yoga Lessons at the "Association of People with Multiple Sclerosis" (Alimos) and Wheel Chair Yoga at the "Hospice for Neurodisability of Athens", trying to study the effects of Yoga on all people of all physical and mental abilities. She is a member of: Yoga Alliance Hellenic Yoga Association Reiki Greece Association (Certified in Usui Reiki Ryoho) Facebook pages/groups: 3/2017: Sevasti-Anna created in Greek the page Accessible Yoga Greece and Accessible Yoga Greece Group which she managed till June 2019 when she decided to withdraw from the Accessible Yoga Organization. 2018: Creates the “Sivananda Yoga Greece - Community and Teachers” group and page, which she manage with Anastasia Gryllaki and other Sivananda Teachers. Sevasti-Anna's favorite motto is: “Falling from a posture means you are a human. Getting back into the posture means you are a Yogi."
