Cynthia (Cyndie) Found is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).

Cyndie:

I was drawn to teaching as a way to share my deep love of yoga with my community. My own dedicated practice started shortly after I was told I had developed Type 2 diabetes. I found yoga played a large role in stabilizing my life and improving my overall health. This motivated me to learn more about yoga and deepen my personal practice. After many years of seeing benefits from my practice, I decided to take the next step and train as a teacher so I could share the fun of class and the experience of increased wellbeing with others.

I love to explore various yoga styles and blend interesting aspects of each style into my personal practice and teaching. While Vinyasa (Flow) is my favourite, I enjoy all styles of yoga and I take great care when teaching to use a style and intensity that best suits the occasion and the group. Yoga is for everyone so by default all my classes include options for body variations, differing experience level and movement limitations. I want my classes to be a safe space for students to play with the movement and make discoveries that will grow and enrich their personal practices.

I greatly enjoy the continued exploration and inquiry that is a hallmark of yoga so I invest plenty of time in learning from my students, from my own teachers, from workshops and courses, from regular reading of books and current research articles and from my own experiments done during home practice. I integrate any newly gained knowledge into my classes to make sure they remain fresh and continually evolve. This on-going learning currently includes enrollment in a 300 hour teacher training program and has also included several workshops and courses with internationally recognizable teachers such as:
