Susan Alden, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT & YACEP
I began teaching yoga in 1997 while serving in the U.S Army where most of my students were fellow service members, veterans and their families. Much of my work has been focused on supporting those with trauma-related health conditions as a result of combat and/or sexual trauma. I've been involved in numerous studies and programs focused on yoga for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I've also worked with individuals impacted by Traumatic Brain Injury, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, amputations and severe injuries.
From 2015-2019, I served as a faculty member and Director of Warriors at Ease, a non-profit organization committed to training a global network of yoga and meditation teachers who serve military and veteran communities in the U.S. and abroad.
Additionally, I am the founder of Mind Body Aloha, a company that infuses indigenous healing traditions from the Hawaiian, Native American and Himalayan cultures. My offerings integrate my extensive training and experience in hula, Ho'oponopono, Lomilomi, the Medicine Wheel, Kriya Yoga, Himalayan Kundalini, pranayama and various forms of meditation.
