Cathleen McMahon is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
I have been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 1995 and have taught since August 1999 with over 3,900 hours teaching.
The Yoga classes I teach revolve around the needs of the individual as well as the group. Each student will leave the class with information on how to move in the body in a healthy way. Students that are tight will learn how to stretch comfortably with the use of props. Students that are hyper-flexible will learn how to challenge themselves safely while taking their practice to the next level. Everyone will not only leave the classroom invigorated but also informed on how to practice at home.
I have attended senior level classes with the following teachers: Judith Hanson Lasater, Aadil Palkhivala, Doug Keller, Angela Farmer and Victor Van Kooten, Dean Lerner, Norman and Laura Allard, George Purvis, and Laurie Blakeney.
I am a certified Yoga teacher and am also registered with Yoga Alliance, CYT, RYT 500. With my primary Yoga teacher, Judith Hanson Lasater, I am a registered Advanced Relax and Renew Trainer. The discipline I teach is Iyengar based with Ayurvedic principles incorporated into the classes.
