I teach mostly private yoga classes, virtually via Zoom now in the age of COVID. my work blends both customized yoga instruction with life coaching for an overall wellness and stress reduction focus. I work mainly with moms with challenging children. If your child doesn't fit the typical mold, that might be you. There may be some ADHD, giftedness, autism, or 'twice exceptionality' in some other area. If this is you, then you're likely spending lots of time figuring out how to support your child and not so much time on how to keep yourself sane, patient, and healthy.
That's where I come in. I work with moms (and some dads) to help them maintain their own wellbeing in the midst of the gifted/twice exceptional journey. (Twice exceptional means gifted and learning challenged in some way.) This means yoga, mindfulness, and other strategies that connect to your innate strengths and creativity AND keep you patient, playful, and present for making the most of life. My goal is to help women take great care of themselves so they can shift out of the sacrifice model of motherhood and model a healthier way. The benefit is that you feel better AND your kids do better as well.
My classes are vinyasa, but private sessions vary in style depending on the goals and ability of participants.
