As a movement + therapeutic specialist, I currently hold my ERYT200 + Continuing Education Provider titles through Yoga Alliance as well as a YM500 + Registered Therapeutic Specialist certification through Yoga Medicine, and currently, I'm studying to become a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM.
Surfing, sports, and writing have all been my passions of mine since I was a kid. It wasn’t until college that I discovered yoga and its healing benefits after suffering a knee injury that kept me off of my feet, and my surfboard, for what felt like far too long.
Yoga ended up providing a pathway back to movement, freedom, and, ultimately, myself. And after a summer-long internship with SURFING Magazine (at the time I was set on becoming a writer), and shortly after graduation from the University of North Florida in 2012, I decided to complete my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the same studio that helped me to fall in love with the practice. Like many others, I found yoga to be so incredibly powerful that I knew I had to share it with others.
A month or so after I completed that training, my now husband and I moved to Rincón, Puerto Rico, where we still live, surf, and where I teach group and private yoga and cross-training classes as well as workshops and retreats both locally and worldwide.
In 2022, I completed my 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Yoga Medicine, and upon successful review of my case studies, I also received my Registered Therapeutic Specialist certification. As I mentioned above, I am currently studying for my Personal Training Certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I'm passionate about learning and sharing and it's my goal as a wellness provider to offer, in a safe and accessible way, movement modalities and mindfulness techniques that support us - as human beings - to feel good and live well. I'm dedicated to helping others tap back into their innate wisdom and power.
My goals for the next 5 years are to expand my classes + offerings onto an online platform, lead Teacher Trainings both in-person and online, to write a book, and to get properly 'spat out' of a barrel :)
