Bridgette's yoga journey began back in 1998 while at theatre conservatory in Chicago. She began her studies in the Iyengar style and found herself in an apprenticeship which led her to teaching. In 2005 she took her first teacher training in the Anusara style in Chicago. In 2008 she was living in NY and discovered ISHTA Yoga which is where she found her yoga home. She got her 500hr RYT with Yogiraj Alan Finger and his senior teaching staff and has been studying with them ever since.
Bridgette's classes are meant to bring balance to the individual within a group setting by teaching the students to listen to the wisdom within their own bodies. This is experienced through exploration of breath, meditation, yoga nidra, mindful movement, restorative postures, kriya work and yogic philosophy. There will always be a blend of these practices in her classes.
