Claire is a graduate of the Beaumont Hospital School of Yoga undertaking extensive mentored training of clinical applications of yoga. Claire is trained and proficient in EMR recording for Yoga.
Claire has worked with patients one on one in the yoga clinic, part of the Integrative Medicine Department and externally. Speciality mentored clinical training & exposure includes: depression, anxiety & stress, traumatic brain injuries, trauma & addiction, oncology, MS, cardiac/pulmonary issues, Parkinson's, pain management, childhood autism and palliative care. Teaching assistant presentations include: the Endocrine Immune System, Chronic Fatigue and Rheumatoid Arthritis with Faculty Presenter Dr. Stacey Francis. Circulatory Systems, Heart Health, Meditation, Sound and Chanting.
Small group need specific clinical extern rotations include: Guiding Hearts phase 2 and 3 Cardiac/Pulmonary Support Group, Caring and Sharing Breast Cancer Support Group and the Pelvic Pain Support Group. Claire has had teaching and presentation experiences with the Brain Injury Association of Michigan’s North Oak and Wayne/Oakland Chapters. Claire conducted an independent research study and presented at the Clinical Extern Seminar on “Measuring The Effects of Yoga for Traumatic Brain Injuries.”
Regular mixed level yoga and meditation classes include hatha vinyasa, slow flow, gentle/restorative and children's yoga. Claire also leverages her talents in music to help generate powerful vibrational sound waves in chanting that promotes insight and spiritual wellbeing. Harmonium/chanting lessons are available.
