While living in a mining town for 12 years I came to understand first hand of the ill health in the mining industry. I did a series of you tube videos of yoga for Truck drivers, healthy eating for a 12 hour shift and poems from my experience as a Dump Truck driver, Hot shot driver, Audiometric Officer, Sentry/TA., Heavy Mining Delivery Driver, and Prison Educator. These were not very successful due to my lack of computer skills but still a few benefitted greatly.

The teaching of Yoga has exploded since I first took classes over 40 years ago, and I have continued to upgrade my knowledge with the latest research in body mind connections. I am available to teach most styles to any age group. 

My passion for my culture has led me to design many workshops which incorporate Te Ao Maori with the world of Yoga. I returned to Aotearoa to help care for my aging parents, which allows me some time to teach around the rural communities of the East Coast. My tribes are Ngati Porou me Kai Tahu. E noho ana awau ki te Akau o Tokomaru, te whenua o toku mama.

The past 3 years I have been teaching mostly Chair Yoga as I enjoy reaching out to the older age group who have been neglected in the class room of Yoga. Also I am along way from any City so these smaller villages are in great need of this sharing of knowledge.

'Te Ha' is the first module which is knowledge of the Breath from Hine-ahu-one to your own breath as it presents today. Unlike many breathing fads on the market I will guide you through the origins of how the masters of Yoga first discovered how to utilise this powerful essence. There are many types of Yoga, in the world today. Showing all the asana's, in each and every way.  There's Lulu and there's Lemon, to impress some with your wear, Baggy pants and old T-shirts, doesn't mean you don't care.  BKS Iyengar, led the way with straps and blocks, Nidra relaxation is best done without a clock.   Ashtanga is the series, by Patabhi Jois, to gently bounce your sequence, through a lengthy choice.   The beach, the gym or studio are venues just a few, some windows look to natures bush or even a sea view.  There's yoga in a cystal room, or even salted walls, there's yoga in a darkened room, or lit bright in-case you fall.  Don't stress if you can't put your legs, in a pretzel shape, and stop comparing, with others in class, who are half your weight.  There's laughing, crying or silent, and even Yoga to Yell, but the best is Yoga taught as a gift, the kind you cannot sell.  The Siddhis always knew, that body holds onto issues, and now the science has proven, your trauma lives in your tissues.  Your tensegrity matrix, your posture will portray.  Learn to find your balance in life or the vrittis and monkeys will stay.  There's a moral to this rhyme as we surf upon the wave, we must find all the pieces of self, and head back into the cave.   If you follow the five Koshas, till it takes you deep inside, add daily meditation to feel your space is wide.   The Sutras of Patangali, in kindness will be preached, so that every type of body, mind, the Yoga can be reached.  The Yin and Yang of strong and slow, this balance you will know.  The aim for all will always be a journey from which you'll grow.  What ever lineage you choose, that feels right at the time,  will make no difference in the end if your ego still talks of "Mine"      It's time to slow down, we've seen the Yoga explode.  If we want to heal each wounded soul, in every corner of the globe.  We cannot reach perfection, with salutes to the sun, but we can come to Know Thyself Divine, and feel everything as One.  Thankyou to the many who before us led the way. I for one, will carry on, even when I stray.
