Susana Laborde-Blaj, a certified E-RYT 200, and RYT 500 Viniyoga™ teacher, dedicated many years of her youth to perform as a professional dancer, actress and working as a dance teacher and choreographer in Mexico City, Oaxaca, Mexico, and Paris, France, She always felt drawn to yoga, and began to practice it consistently around 1992.
In 1996, she did her first Teacher Training with Federico Enriquez, Indra Devi’s student, and has been teaching Yoga classes and workshops ever since, both in Mexico and in the United States.
After arriving in Oregon in 2008, she continued her education with a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification at Portland’s Amrita, a Sanctuary for Yoga, followed by one year of apprenticeship.
In 2012, she attended her first workshop taught by Gary Kraftsow, founder and director of the American Viniyoga Institute (AVI). The teachings resonated so powerfully with her own sentiments, that she decided to enroll in the AVI 500 hour Teacher Training and completed it in November 2015.
