Sridhar Maddela is Indian born New Zealand citizen. He has startling aptitude of translating his profound eastern wisdom into health promotion. He established an in depth professional knowledge in developing wellness strategies for modern living. He graduated with Masters of Health Sciences from University of Auckland researching the "Psyche of Parkinson’s". He is currently a PhD graduate at University of Technology Sydney, Sydney, Australia researching in the field of geriatrics.
Sridhar was raised in a family of orthodox background and he cultivated profound interest in holistic methods of health promotion. His interest in holistic healing made him perceive education in a nonpharmacutical holistic healing modality Indian Naturopathy and Yoga. He earned a degree in Naturopathy and Yoga from NTR University of Health Sciences, A.P. India; he achieved a post‑graduate Diploma in Yoga & Naturopathy from Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar and holds a Diploma in Physiotherapy. His research on Asthma was presented at an international seminars. As a research guide he facilitated health science graduates research activities. He started his career as a practitioner and lecturer at various institutes in India and later in New Zealand.
Since 2003 Sridhar held the position of Program Leader/ Lead Tutor/ Head of Health Sciences and Yoga faculties at Wellpark College, Auckland, New Zealand. He strongly believes that health is achieved by changing the perception of the environment through applying the principles and practices of Yoga into one’s life. His ability to integrate orthodox and yoga principles to analyse the cause of illness has made him an inspiring facilitator and an unique clinician.
