Yumi Hi , E-RYT 200, has been practicing yoga for over fifteen years. Being a water woman she competed in tandem surfing about ten years ago. To pass time while waiting for the waves, she stretched and did yoga poses on her surfboard and completely fell in love because it was challenging and fun. With much practice and research Yumi created her own SUPer yoga sequences suitable for the board in the ocean for every level. In order to share her passion for SUP yoga with her friends, she became a certified and registered yoga teacher in 2012. To ensure her students would be safe while in the water, Yumi became a certified lifeguard as well. Since then, Yumi has been constantly on the board, teaching group SUP yoga classes at least 3 times a week, and many private group/corporate event sessions. On her days off, you will still find her in the ocean, on her board!
Part of Yumi’s make up is being active in many ways. She is a water fitness instructor and personal trainer since 2002, and she is also a dancer, and teaches aerial dance and acrobatics.
Her enthusiasm makes every class fun and any fitness level will enjoy her SUPer Yoga classes on the beautiful Hawaiian ocean.
