Since 2007, I have been teaching public and private classes - mainly in Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition, I am the main E-RYT of the Yoga Teacher Training program at Axelsons Gymnastiska Institut in Stockholm & Gothenburg, Sweden and in Oslo, Norway. We are right now conducting the 7th education in Sweden, and the second training in Oslo will started in October 2016.
My teaching style is based on alignment and mindfulness, inviting the participant to practice slowly but strongly. In my viewpoint, deep alignment work can be a great tool to access the meditative state that can be difficult to attain sitting. Further, I want to inspire an attitude of listening and paying respect to ones own unique body, in this unique moment. I find one of the greatest things to do as a teacher is to encourage self-practice!
In my own practice, the work on the mat is a wonderful, physical, tangible mirror of life as well as a tool for going deeper physically as well as mentally. My personal benefits from practice have included fx increased patience, love and self esteem, release from several (minor) bodily issues plus strength and motivation to quit addictive habits.
I discovered yoga at age 17 - that is 24 years ago now - and it has been with me ever since. I have been a student in 3 Teacher Trainings; Hatha, Vinyasa and Anusara Yoga, and have 11 years of teaching experience. I also have a passion for Mindfulness/Vipassana meditation since childhood, whereas I was raised in a meditating family, and I am certified as a Mindfulness trainer.
