Amrit Yoga saved my life. For 30 years, I lived with severe depression and survived multiple suicide attempts. When I began practicing Yoga, I continued to suffer from depression but was able to control the suicide attempts; although that path remained an option in my mind.
I began my practice of Amrit Yoga 7 years later. Within 2 months, my depression was gone. My suicidal thoughts were gone. That was 6 years ago and I haven't had an episode of depression since.
For years, I had lived with a bare knife against my belly just waiting for the final impulse to end my life. Yoga allowed me to put the knife in my back pocket, where it was still within easy reach but no longer such a threat. Amrit Yoga took the knife out of my pocket and buried it for me.
