Shelby was introduced to yin yoga in her 200 hour Hatha yoga training under Shelly Carpenter in 2015. She then deepened her training in yin yoga under Dennis and Kathy Lang in her 300 hour teacher training in 2019. She has been teaching yoga since 2015 and practicing since 2007. Yin yoga has changed her life tremendously for the better. It has greatly assisted her in sitting with uncomfortable emotional reactive patterns and, over time, she has developed her self awareness, intuition, and confidence. Yin has given her wisdom and ability to gain awareness in the deep holds. Yin yoga has assisted her in sitting with what is uncomfortable and breathing and feeling through it. Shelby is passionate about sharing this practice with others in hopes to help people acheive a lighter and freer path.
Shelby is also a naturalist, free thinker, and nanny. Her education includes, Yoga Nidra, Reiki, and Tibetan Accupressure certifications.
