I was born in Israel (given the name Dorit), spent 20 years in New York City and have been living in the Motueka Valley on the South Island of New Zealand for the past 15 years.
I have been studying and practicing yoga and meditation for many years and am privileged to share it with people from around the world. I am an experienced teacher with over 500 certified training hours and thousands of teaching hours, registered with the Yoga Alliance (E-RYT500), and was professionally trained in teaching trauma sensitive yoga as well as trauma-informed yoga for survivors of sexual assault and people suffering from PTSD and CPTSD.
During the years I had supported women on their healing journeys from trauma of sexual abuse and domestic violence, but only when I had experienced this personally, did I truly understand the long-term impact of these horrifying events.
As a survivor, I am dedicating my life to my own healing journey, as well as supporting other women and their children. I do this first hand by guiding and sharing my experience and practice here at Vistara, as well as providing support and empowering women through a few businesses I manage and the help of my dear friends and other kind and caring people like you.
I believe we are all one, gliding on the spectrum between dealing with our own trauma and empowering others with their healing journey.
I am inviting you to come practice with me.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
