Camryn Wemmer is Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). Camryn first discovered yoga in 2006 when her mom invited her to do a 90 min hot yoga class. The seed had been planted. She rediscovered yoga again in New York City in 2011 when she began a regular practice of hot yoga classes. For a decade, Camryn's personal yoga practice ebbed and flowed, as so many things in life do. And life took Camryn on many wonderful and challenging adventures between San Diego, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara. But no matter how much time passed in between her yoga sessions, the power and tranquility of the mat was always gently calling to her.
In Summer 2021, Camryn choose to act on her dreams. It was a difficult decision, one that she had been nursing for many years. She left her career as a Human Resource Professional in Santa Barbara, CA and moved home to San Diego, CA to enroll in a Yoga Teacher Training (YTT). The three-week intensive YTT program offered through Yoga One San Diego opened her eyes to the breadth of power and benefits that yoga has to offer. Not only through asana practice, but how all the branches of yoga are vital and nourishing components of a balanced life. She registered with Yoga Alliance in January of 2022. In July 2022 she was thrilled to begin teaching a Level 1 & 2 Vinyasa Flow yoga class on Thursday mornings at 6:30a at Yoga One in Mission Hills, San Diego. She teachers there currently and would love you to come share your practice in-studio or on zoom!
The YTT also ignited Camryn's passion for learning about the human body and how to keep the mind, body, and spirit healthy, strong, and at peace. In September 2022 she became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and is currently researching Health Coaching certification programs to enroll in come Spring 2023.
