Jamie Bloss teaches vinyasa, gentle, beginners, and restorative yoga to a wide variety of practitioners. Jamie is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School. She received her RYT-200 from Samantha Harrison Yoga in 2021. She has practiced yoga for 9 years. Her influences include interdisciplinary movement practices, Tibetan Buddhism, and Iyengar yoga. Her classes focus on evidence-based functional movement that get students moving their bodies in healthy ways, while working on tapping into the inner sense of calm and self-compassion that resides within us all.
Her lineage of teachers include Alison Pignolet, Samantha Harrison, Erin Ward, Jess McGovern, Frannie Ayers, and many more. She has also studied with and taken workshops from teachers from Ashtanga, Sivananda, and Om Yoga traditions as well including Kino McGregor, Cloud and David of Ovalau Island in Fiji, and Cyndi Lee. She is currently enrolled in her 300 hour teacher training from My Vinyasa Practice and Michelle Young out of Austin, Texas.
When Jamie is not practicing yoga, she works as a health sciences librarian. This is one of the reasons why evidence-based practice and staying up to date as new information comes out about yoga and movement is so important to her. She also loves to be outside, cook tasty new foods, and play violin.
