Matthew Lunsford is a Registered Yoga Teacher, Registered Children's Yoga Teacher, C-IAYT, and behavior analyst in Fredericksburg, VA. Matthew holds an M.Ed. in special education, an MSc. in psychology with dual concentrations in developmental neurobiology and forensic psychology, a BA in English and creative writing, and an AAS in education. He is currently completing his MSW.
Matthew's practice combines psychological science and yoga to make yoga accessible individuals of all physical and cognitive abilities. He teaches yoga through a behavior analytic lens, breaking down complex poses into their individual parts for maximum pedagogical effectiveness.
Outside of his practice, Matthew is an adjunct professor of psychology and special education at SNHU and the University of Mary Washington. He enjoys travel, reading, learning the violin and guitar, spending time with friends and his pets, and software engineering.
