I am a teacher, a trainer, a warrior, a survivor, and my own best friend. I began my studies in Mysore, India and continued my training in Mindfulness, Zen practice, Buddhist studies, Koan practice, and clergy studies within the Zen Buddhist tradition. As an ordained monk, I pursued my journey as a Dharma teacher. I began formal mentoring with Josh Korda (Dharmapunx, NYC), gaining a deeper understanding of his teachings of neuroscience and Buddhist psychology.
As an accredited IMT (International Mindfulness Teacher) and Affiliated Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPs) Teacher, UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, MARC, I take a secular approach to sharing the Mindfulness-Based practices both within the public health intervention communities, individual coaching, university lectures, meditation teacher training and corporate training programs to help clients solve their most difficult problems. I offer encouragement through structured and skillful dialogues, meditation, mindfulness and breathing techniques to help empower clients to better understand their challenges and implement pragmatic plans to address them.
I am an Affiliated Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPs) Teacher, UCLA Semel Institute Mindful Awareness Research Center, IMT® E-RYT® 500 / YACEP®, Founder and Founding Director of Finding Stillness Through Self-Social Regulation Techniques, MTT 100hr® Meditation, Mindfulness and Breath Work Teacher Training Program and the RYS® 300hr Advanced Studies Program
