Melanie Psaltakis is a dedicated and experienced yoga teacher with advanced training and over 2700 teaching hours. The core of all her teaching is that yoga is a vehicle for optimal health and well-being. Specialties include Vinyasa Yoga, Gentle Yoga, and practices that promote the therapeutic benefits of yoga. She also creates and leads yoga retreats domestically and internationally.

Melanie's training is based in ancient yoga traditions, rooted in alignment, and blended into a practice that brings together balance, strength, and flexibility in a slow flow format. Her detailed teaching is infused with a gentle spirit, inspiration, and a sense of joy that encourages every student to listen to their body and breath to awaken their inner light of awareness and wisdom. Students say they leave her classes feeling both energized and restored.

Registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500, Melanie also holds certificates from the 100-hour trauma-sensitive YogaFit Warriors Program and the 108-hour Anusara Yoga Immersion Program. With this combination of styles, Melanie creates and customizes unique sequences and intensities according to class size and practice level. She teaches large classes in fitness centers, smaller groups in yoga studios, corporate settings, and semi-private venues, as well as private yoga session that focus on the therapeutic elements of yoga and/or are designed to deepen one's understanding and practice of yoga. A popular summertime outdoor series called "Yoga in the Park" draws 50-75 students weekly. Melanie also adapts yoga practices to meet individual needs, such as chair yoga for seniors.
