Lebo Goad (she/her) is registered with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges her completion of a 500 hour yoga teacher training with Yoga Assets Teacher Training Systems (RYS).
Lebo is a proudly South African black woman currently located in Salt Lake City, Utah. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Law, a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy certification from Cambridge Health Alliance, Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital, as well as several certifications in various methodologies in yoga. In addition to her RYT designation, she is a 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher trainer for Yoga Assets Teacher Training Systems, a birth educator and ambassador for Prenatal International, a yoga ambassador for lululemon and the Executive Director for Yoga Forward.
Her passion for teaching is devoted to serving underserved and underrepresented communities. Among others, Lebo facilitates yoga classes, teacher trainings and workshops for incarcerated men and women within the Utah Department of Corrections, Asylees at the Utah Refugee Center, school teachers and parents in the Salt Lake and Granite School Districts, Military Veterans at the Salt Lake VA, as well as women and children with lived experiences of domestic violence and abuse at the YWCA Utah.
Lebo has worked in collaboration with the Black Physicians of Utah (BPOU) in the advocacy of health and wellness for the BIPOC community. She has also presented on "Yoga As A Tool For Mental Health" at the 2023 American Correctional Association's (ACA) annual national conference, as well as teaching yoga and meditation classes to the correctional staff during the course of the conference; and collaborated with the Lesego Tau Education Foundation (LTEF) in offering a Mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy workshop at a retreat for young people across the township of Soweto, South Africa.
