I started practicing Bikram yoga in 2005 as cross-training for rowing. I liked being able to sweat and feel really strong afterward.
Two years later, I took a Yin class and realized how deep I could go and how relaxed I could become by moving slowly and intentionally with my breath.
Since then, I’ve continued to study and practice many styles of yoga that build physical and mental tenacity and that focus on healthy alignment. I continue to draw inspiration from Anusara, Kundalini, Ashtanga, and Tripsicore Yoga to deepen my own personal practice.
Today, I am a Yoga Alliance 200 E-RYT in Radiantly Alive Yoga. This vinyasa-based style uses music, challenging asana (postures), spiritual insight, pranayama (breath exercises), meditation, humour, and yogic themes relevant for the modern yogi to enrich the student’s experience and cultivate awareness. In my classes, you’ll experience the power of your breath and what it feels like to laugh on a yoga mat.
