Hi! I’m Noelle, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance originally from Ireland, currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I love to include chakras and subtle body energy work and incorporate moon cycles into my vinyasa classes.

Check out my website here for more information about me and my yoga journey or to join me in class!

I fell in love with yoga right away from the moment I began practising in 2010. Yoga made me feel better physically, mentally and spiritually. I felt connected, in-the-moment and involved in every breath, movement and pose that I practised. In my experience, yoga can help you to grow, self-heal and gain a new perspective on things. These lessons, learned on the mat translate into meaningful personal advances off the mat.

Since first discovering yoga all those years ago, I have been lucky enough to live nomadically, travelling to more than fifty countries, across five continents. During my travels, a lot has changed, but yoga has been the one constant in my life throughout my journey.

Throughout my wanderings, I have studied under numerous teachers, in a range of different countries and surroundings. Learning from such a diverse group of teachers has helped me to gain a unique perspective and understanding of all aspects of yoga, seeing the practice not only through my eyes but through the eyes of so many influential teachers, mentors and fellow yogis I have met along the way.

Taking inspiration from my yoga experiences and interactions travelling in South Korea, Portugal, Bulgaria, Thailand, Australia, Bali, Mexico, and Scotland, I have developed my own unique approach to my yoga practice that I strive to share with my students. Travelling through Nepal, India and Sri Lanka for over a year, had a huge impact on me, allowing me an amazing opportunity to explore the spiritual side of yoga further. Learning more about Hinduism, Buddhism and the deep spiritual connection that yoga can provide fascinated me then, and still does to this day. I aim to incorporate these influences in my classes from time to time to inspire, motivate and guide my students through their practice.

Ever since travelling in India, becoming a yoga teacher was a dream of mine. Discovering more about yoga and developing my own practice, I desperately wanted to share my passion for yoga and my experiences with others. With lockdown stopping me from my vagabonding ways I had time to truly dedicate to my yoga practice and I finally undertook my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga With Carson, studying under Carson Calhoun in late 2020.

During this intensive teacher training, I was lucky enough to be taught by some truly incredible teachers including Carson, Christina Opel, Marie Belle Pérez Rivera of Roots Love Yoga, Sam Vetrano of Bodhi Yoga Academy and Irene Pappas, to name a few. I will be forever grateful for their guidance, patience and support. This training was in Rocket and Vinyasa Yoga styles.

I have also undertaken 15 hours of training in the 'Heart of SmartFLOW® Yoga I' with Annie Carpenter, famously referred to as ‘the teacher’s teacher', to further develop my teaching skills, knowledge and my own self-inquiry. I am now studying further with Annie as I have enrolled in 'Heart of SmartFLOW® Yoga II' to gain even further insight from her wealth of knowledge.

I am currently studying a multi-style 300 Hour with My Vinyasa Practice under the guidance of Michelle Young and many others and when completed, as well as deepening my knowledge of Vinyasa yoga, I will also be certified to teach Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, Trauma-informed and Adaptive yoga.

In August 2022 I spent two months furthering my studies at the source in the Yoga Capital of the World, Rishikesh India. While there I completed two residential trainings. The first was a 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga with a strong focus on meditation at Yoga Vidya Mandiram from the lineage of Swami Rama founder of the Himalayan Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy.
I also undertook 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training called "Shiva Shakti Power" in Classical Kundalini at Anand Prakash Ashram home of the Akhanda Yoga Institute under the tutelage of Himalayan Yoga Master and co-founder of Akhanda Yoga, Yogrishi Vishvketu or Vishva-ji. This training was amazing and was less physically and more spiritually oriented as it worked more with the subtle body and moving energy. As I'm so interested in the chakras and theming my classes around these energy centres, this deepened my own practice and I felt truly immersed in a yogic way of life at this ashram, wearing white and following the dress code, and performing the fire puja daily.
Studying yoga in its spiritual home was truly an amazing experience and something I have wanted to check off my bucket list since I first travelled through India for six months back in 2012.

I feel that yoga is a never-ending journey of learning and progression and is not only about physical movement but a way of life. I truly believe that yoga should be for everybody and
every body. The mat is not a place for ego, perfection or judgment, and this is something that I reinforce in each and every one of my classes, whether online or in person.

I want to share with you the joy that yoga has given me. The Bhagavad Gita said, “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” Take the journey with me, enjoy your practice and embrace all that yoga can offer you.
