Andrea is a dedicated practitioner and teacher who has committed her life to bestowing the teachings and benefits of yoga to all who seek a life based on truth, peace and bliss.
She was first trained (RYT-200) in Thailand by the Sivananda Yoga Organization where she met her guru, Prahalad ji, and was initiated into her spiritual name, Annapurna. From then she went on to live with her guru in India along with other yogis and renunciates (swamis) where she learned how to live the life of a Yogi. While in India she served as Karma Yogi who taught Hatha Yoga classes and became a meditation and Vedanta (yoga philosophy) teacher. She also completed her 300 Hour Advance Yoga Teacher Training in Kerala, India receiving the title Yoga Acharya, "Yoga Master".
As her spiritual name, Annapurna, implies "the goddess of nourishment" and as described by her guru "full, complete and perfect". She is a teacher who nourishes the body, mind and spirit of each student by sharing her wisdom of the traditional Hatha Yoga teachings along with Vedanta, Bhakti and selfless service to all who wish to connect deeply as a spiritual being.
In humble service to the late Swami Sivananda's main teaching "Serve. Love. Give. Purify. Meditate. Realize." She sees herself as a simple student with the whole world as her teacher in the hands of the divine with the goal to bring forth the light residing in the hearts of all.
