Erika Diane Johnson is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS) and Registered Children's Yoga School (RCYS), respectively.
She teaches Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced level classes and tends to specialize in Yin and Restorative yoga, as well as the Children's and Teen's Yoga of her RCYT specialty. In addition to this, she holds a BFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) and graduated from New World School of the Arts High School (Miami, FL) in Musical Theater, only after she was trained rather extensively in classical ballet and competitive gymnastics (through Level 9).
So, outside of Yoga, she also teaches Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Acting, Musical Theater and a variety of other niche, crossover classes (Aerial Acrobatics, Shakespeare, Stage Combat, etc.).
She completed her yoga teacher trainings with Yoga Farm, Ithaca (RYT200) and Yoga Ed. in Honolulu (RCYT). She completed her Advanced Yoga Training with My Vinyasa Practice in TX (RYT300) and an Aerial Yoga training with AntiGravity.
When she's not teaching, she can be seen clowning around weekly as Dr. Mary Posa at Nicklaus Children's Hospital (via Healthy Humor, Inc.) and performing traditional Bavarian Schuhplattler in and around South Florida (with the Original Auerhahn Schuhplattlers of Miami, particularly during Oktoberfest season).
Meet yourself, wherever you are, on and off the mat.
Namaste.
