Teaching yoga is part of my life since I was a child growing up in several continents but mainly in Australia. I lived in Europe but I taught yoga professionally every summer full-time in the USA and/or Greece. I also taught one-one part time sessions (face to face or online) the rest of the year.
My yoga lineage: As a teenager I was lucky to learn from an American teacher Liz Coon, who was trained directly by Guru B.K.S Iyengar for many years in India. So I belong to the formal yoga lineage of Guru Tirumlai Krishnamacharya. I taught informally in my adulthood.
In 2020, I formalised my 500 hours advance yoga teacher education with the generous Bursary offered by Online Yoga school founder Steph Ball-Mitchell during the Global Pandemic. Her lineage teacher is via Swami Vidyananda.
My meditation lineage: I was taught Tai Chi meditation and movements by my Hong Kong-Chinese Grandfather Ki.Tak.Yu who was trained by a Grandmaster in the Ng style Tai Chi and also studied with Grandmaster Yip Man in his youth.
As a young adult I was also trained in meditation in the Kagyu tradition. I trained formally in Tibetan Buddhist Meditation with a Tibetan Meditation Grandmaster Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche in Nepal and India.
Yoga is a discipline and a lifestyle for me as a professional artist and an expert consultant who works with Culture and Sustainability at United Nations projects level. I am currently doing a Doctorate in Sustainable Culture Development.
