Angela Maguire, RYT-200, is a Holistic Yoga Flow teacher dedicated to using movement and breath to feel more alive and connected. Although she had practiced various styles of yoga over the years, the practice really began to deepen and transform her life when she moved to Santa Monica, CA and started practicing with Bryan Kest. For nearly a decade, his donation studio became a second home. When it closed its doors in 2019, she completed a 200 hr. Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) with Travis Eliot and Lauren Eckstom at the Yoga Collective in Venice, CA. In February 2020, just before moving back to her hometown in Southern New Jersey, Angie completed her first 10-day Vipassana course as taught by S. N. Goenka at the Dhamma Center in North Folk, CA.
As an instructor, Angela strives to create a holistic yoga practice that improves balance, stamina, tone, and suppleness in the body while focusing and relaxing the mind. Her studio classes bare suitable for beginner and experienced yogis alike. Angela teaches chair yoga to seniors in Ocean County. Her company, Ocean 8 Yoga, offers private and small group instruction to individuals and teams in the home, workspace, or virtually. Previous volunteer events include chair yoga and meditation at the Retreat for Women in Recovery, Barnegat Light, NJ and a Memorial Day fundraiser for Veterans Yoga Project.
