My Hatha Yoga classes are oriented under the alignment and fundamentals of Sri. B.K.S. Iyengar. I teach sessions with long lasting postures, focusing on technique and flow of breath. In my classes I put special emphasis on becoming aware of the states of body and mind. To access these states, I use the body and the breath as a tool, guiding the student through clear and precise details within their practice.
In my classes, I use the adjustable straps that hang on the wall so that the student understands deeper aspects of the postures, such as directionality and body alignment, by connecting with parts of the body, which were previously unknown.
The straps are securely and precisely attached to plates inserted into the wall. In certain postures they hold the body in such a way that it is suspended like a puppet. Their use in inverted postures makes gravity work to elongate the spine - instead of shortening and compressing it - developing greater mobility and flexibility in the spine - rejuvenating it.
