Denesia's yoga journey began in 2013 when she was looking for restoration and strength to combat her lifelong struggle with scoliosis. She found healing in the practice and searched to share this joy with others. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) through Yoga District in 2020 and is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) at the 200-hour level through Yoga Alliance. She also completed her 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training through Utah Prenatal Yoga and is a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT).
Denesia has a strong desire to bring the practice of yoga to various communities of people since yoga has been a huge part of her path to restoration. Denesia’s teaching offerings are based on foundational alignment, breathing, and relaxation. Her classes are based on the vinyasa flow tradition, with a focus on breath, alignment, strength building, and accessibility. She specializes in prenatal, postnatal, vinyasa, hathta, power, gentle, and restorative yoga.
Denesia encourages her students to embrace that every body type is different, and yoga is accessible to anyone regardless of age, gender, race, physical limitations, and financial ability. Everyone should have a chance and opportunity to learn the beneficial techniques yoga has to offer.
