Amy M Adams is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certified to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha yoga. Currently she offers in-person workshops, courses and classes. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in Varkala, Kerala, India with Devvrat YogaSanga a Registered Yoga School (RYS). She is the author of 4 non-fiction books including Introduction to Yoga, Book Number One which introduces students to yoga philosophy, the eight limbs of yoga and various yoga postures and fundamental terms. Other books include the Seven Chakras Workbook, Gratitude Shmatitude: Don't just think it, do it! and A Garden Guide The former editor-in-chief of Mindful Soul Center Magazine and producer and co-host of You Here Now and Mindful Soul Center Podcast. She is a lifelong meditator and Reiki Master.
In 2020 she studied yoga therapy (100-hour program). In 2022 she delved deeper into learning about tantra yoga studying with Raja Choudary (Feb through April 2022) and was initiated into tantric practices. She has studied meditation with many other teachers as well.
She graduated with honours from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA in Visual & Performing Arts and received her MFA in painting from the art academy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Past media experience includes a stint at publisher Simon & Shuster and several years working in the documentary units at ABC News (Close-Up & ABC News Productions) as well as the magazine show 20/20 & the assignment desk and Special Events unit.
