Namaste! I am Fotini, a physical education, dance and yoga teacher.
I completed my physical education studies and graduated from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1989. My studies on Classical and Contemporary dance started in 1990 at professional dancing school ''Morianova - Trasta'' where I graduated from, in 1993.
Since 1994, I have been teaching physical education, classical and modern dance as well as music-kinetics education, to students of all ages and levels.
Initially yoga came to my path mostly as a daily practice to keep my body into a good physical condition for my dance teachings and performances. Later on and while immersing deeper into the philosophy and spiritual aspect of this beautiful practice, I decided to deepen my knowledge and practice by following my first 200hours teacher training course in 2018.
Since then, I have been implementing my yoga practice and teachings into the methods and techniques I use for all my dancing classes as I really believe that the connection between yoga and moving / performing arts, has such a beneficial impact. Yoga can be a great asset for developing stability, concentration, strength, balance and confidence while allowing a practitioner to connect on a deeper level with themselves, so they can express movement in the most genuine way.
Moreover, in order to keep myself and my students inspired, I keep on progressing with my own practice and further development, following more workshops and teacher training courses to keep me evolving on my yoga path.
