I am a RYT® 500HR, YACEP certified yoga teacher, and the founder of Recital 8; a meticulous amalgamation of music, tradition, and philosophy that emphasizes the benefits of repetition. Recital 8 offerings include lyrical Vinyasa, contemplative Yin, awakening Yoga Nidra, and immersive crystal bowl sound baths. Each of these practices is respectful of Ashtanga (the 8 Limbs of Yoga) and Nada Yoga (sound yoga).
Originally from South Carolina, I moved to Napa, California in 2013 to pursue a career in the wine industry and am now the General Manager of RAEN Winery. With this big move, I serendipitously found yoga and have been dedicated to my practice ever since.
I earned my 200HR YTT through Napa Valley Yoga center in the spring of 2019 and immediately began teaching at local Napa studios after graduation. Seeking higher education opportunities, I completed my 300HR YTT and Yin Certifications Levels I and II in the first half of 2020 under my mentor Leila A. Fortier of Ananta: Yoga Without Limit.
I specialize in Ashtanga-informed Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Yoga Nidra, and empyrean crystal bowl sound immersions. I am currently studying the Ashtanga Primary Series under the guidance of Leila A. Fortier, who is certified by Tim Miller. Always seeking educational opportunities, I have attended numerous workshops and seminars by teachers including Tim Feldmann, Patrick Beach, Faith Hunter, Caroline Shola Arewa, and Jill Abelson.
To my practice and to my offerings, I bring a deep-seated passion for music. I use it to inspire movement, self-inquiry, listening, and connection. For me, practicing yoga in all of its forms feels like "coming home" so I hope to impart that sensation to others.
