Monica has practised classical Hatha yoga since late 90s both in Australia and overseas. Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Monica became a RYT 200 hr yoga teacher in 2019 [Sadhana Yoga, Classic Raja]. In 2021 she completed her RYT300 [Bhakti Nova School, Legacy of Love Hatha and Bhakti]. In addition she has completed Yoga4Cancer teacher training (55 hrs) and Yin and Traditional Chinese Mindfulness (50 hrs). Her teaching style is nurturing and caring. Monica guides her students into the asanas, while teaching and firmly believing that yoga is a non-judgemental, physical and spiritual practice where you tune into and connect with yourself, the physical body, as well as the subtle body. She also teaches pranayama, mudras, yoga nidra and meditation.
Having experienced cancer first-hand, and now successfully managing some long term side effects, Monica ensures her classes has options to suit all levels and abilities.
Monica is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with Registered Yoga Schools (RYS).
