Tamara is a 200+ hours Yoga Community certified teacher who has a passion for helping others to develop their own inner voice, trust, and wisdom; ultimately allowing them to find more love for themselves, others, and the world around them. Tamara’s classes focus on meditation, mindfulness, self-compassion, and creating more awareness and presence, in order to bring that awakened energy into your daily life. Tamara teaches a gentle vinyasa style flow class incorporating elements of her Raja and Hatha yoga training, plus a little humor and self-deprecation - something she picked up from her earlier careers as an Entertainment Performer at Walt Disney World or through improv comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in NY, among many other stage and screen experiences.
Tamara began her yoga journey in college, studying Theatre Arts at the University of Northern Colorado and was instructed by Karen Genoff-Campbell. Later in life, while living oversees Tamara was a Karma Yogi for The Life Centre in London, England, helping with the baby massage classes. While in the UK, she also participated in The Mindfulness Association’s 2014 Mindfulness & Compassion Conference at Samye Ling in Scotland in June, 2014, in which Rob Nairn, Paul Gilbert, Kristen Neff and Chris Germer were among the many teachers. Once back in the US, she went on to be an integral member of the team helping to organize the Empathy & Compassion in Society conference hosted by the Tenzin Gyatso Institute in San Francisco in November, 2014 in which Dan Siegel, Karen Armstrong and Paul Gilbert, among many others spoke. When not teaching or practicing yoga, Tamara can be found exploring the vineyards of Napa and Sonoma, or leading wine tastings, as a PR Manager for a leading wine company.
