Atanasio from the age of 14 had an interest in learning yoga, but the family environment was the first obstacle that did not allow him to tackle this discipline.

10 years later (1976), when he was studying the last year of electrical engineering at the National University of Engineering in Lima, Peru, he saw there a flyer about yoga classes, from the first time he practiced yoga there, he was inspired by it, and he made a promise not to abandon this discipline because of 10 years had passed without having done so.

Also, in the same year (1976), he was starting practice Transcendental Meditation, TM, from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and in 1988 he received a guru mantra from Swami Hari Har at Gita Ashram Organization, in Lima, Peru.

In the yoga path he met Hispanic Gurus from the Dr. Serge Raynaud de la Ferrière’s lineage as Mr. Alfonso Gil and Mr. Juan V. Mejias, with them he developed an internal devotion. This action originate a decision to participate in the construction of the first Ashram in Peru, precisely at his the hometown (Jauja, Peru), then he decided to live in this spiritual colony from 1978 to 1987.

After living an ashramic experience of about 10 years, he left that place for doing professional services in electrical companies, but yoga was always the first interest in life.

Upon arriving in the USA in 2004, he remained linked to yoga until he went on to teach his neighbors and other people at the workplace.

At this time, he is teaching yoga online for free via zoom on weekends, also Teresa (Atanasio’s wife), RYT 200 is teaching during the weekdays. All people are invited to join these classes, and the schedule is the following:
