BJ has had a keen interest in the physical and philosophical practice of yoga since 2001. Finding these methods exceedingly useful, she decided to deepen her understanding and practice of yoga when she moved from Red Deer to Penticton in 2017 as a way of meeting like-minded people and engaging with her new community in a meaningful and joyful way.

BJ completed her 200 hour training in 2019 and her 300 hour training in 2020 with the South Okanagan Yoga Academy (soyayoga.com).Her “home” studio is Starlit Yoga where she enjoys teaching all-levels flow and SUP yoga.

BJ has also studied trauma informed yoga with Yoga Outreach (yogaoutreach.com) and teaches trauma sensitive yoga to teens at Foundry Penticton and women at South Okanagan Women in Need Society.

No matter what style of yoga she is leading, her focus is on the physical needs of daily life, sharing positive vibes and building an individual's inner-strength.
